I itched and I scratched all night and morning long. It made every one sick because I'm on the top bunk and when I move the whole caravan rocks.
But they have gone down and are less itchy since we have gotten to Broome. But last night we went to the sun cinema. An outdoors, night time cinema.
Bzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
Here we go again !!!
ouch ouch ouch!
ReplyDeleteAt least you know you taste good!
ReplyDeleteas Abbe said, you must be sweeeet!!
ReplyDeleteMozzies absolutely suck!! poor you! Glad they are better now.
ReplyDeleteoh No ! They really do love you, well you can't blame them really, you're pretty awesome! Big love to you gorgeous girl xo Jess
ReplyDeleteI am always the one to get bitten by bugs; other people seem to breeze through nozzle clouds without a care - probably because all the Mosquitos are focused on something else... ME! So I know how you feel... can we help it if we're so tasty...?! ;)
ReplyDeleteAargh!! I'm always the one most likely to get bitten in my family too. My mum never ever gets bitten and do you know the only thing that would take away the itching? Mum's spit. Eeewww! But true story. xx
ReplyDeleteI'm so pleased you're doing this blog, Indi.
ReplyDeleteAnd an excellent post to start it off. So well written.
Hopefully those Broome mozzy bites aren't as itchy as the Darwin ones.
I love you.

I was wondering about the mozzies when your mum said you were going to the outdoor cinema last night! YOu sound like you are having an amazing trip! Lucky you - have fun!
ReplyDeleteHi Indi, Thats rotten! my daughter is always the eaten on in our family and she has terrible reactions requiring her to take antihistamines to reduce the swelling and itchiness.
ReplyDeleteWow Indy that's a lot of bites. They must have driven you nuts. Mozzies love me too. It sounds like you guys are having a wonderful time. So cool that you have started a blog about it. I look forward to hearing your adventures.
ReplyDeleteOh noooo! Mozzie bites hurt, but take it as a compliment - you must taste nice! I really like your blog, and I can't wait to read about more of your adventures! Take care!
ReplyDeleteMozzie bites are horrid, aren't they? I hope the itchiness isn't so bad this time round!
ReplyDeleteEat loads of vegemite, it stops you tasting so yummy for the bugs.. True story. I just got woken up by a huge aftershock so I'm reading your blog while I wait for mg heart to stop pounding lol!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on your new blog! Very well written, I started itching as I was reading it! Those darn bites are the worst! Maybe if you sing them some go-away songs they'll leave you alone.
ReplyDeleteAll the best!
Vitamin B (so vegemite every day!) I used to take it and after 3 months the mozzies and sandflies stopped attacking me (which was wonderful, because the welts were like bruises :o )
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to following your travels around Oz!
I hate mozzies too. It sounds like you have been having a great time. My mum has been telling me all about it because she reads your mums blog. I have a blog too but haven't written anything for a while (www.itsablythelife.blogspot,com). Can't wait to hear more about your trip. Charlotte.
ReplyDeleteOh no, you poor thing!
ReplyDeleteI agree with the readers above who said eating Vegemite will help repel mozzies. And to that list I add eating garlic. Apparently spraying yourself with white vinegar helps, and also avoiding dark clothing, which attracts them.
Good luck, Bendigo! I look fwd to reading how you go, and about all your other adventures.
We miss you lots. xx
Maybe instead of eating Vegemite, Indi, you could cover your skin with it. Its smell and taste are sure to stop the mozzies from biting you.
ReplyDeleteOn the other hand, Meg wrote that dark clothing attracts mozzies. So the dark colour of Vegemite may attract them too.
Oh dear.
One solution would be for you to come and live in Tasmania. There are hardly any mozzies here.

that makes the few itchy bites that I get seem like nothing!
